I would love it as a passenger if the pilot would say if there is an immidiate safety concern or not. engine failure sounds rather disastrous in an airplane, for someone who does not know about these things. it's *really* not something you want to hear as a passenger.

Pilots remained calm and professional. However, they KNEW that their no3 engine had a problem with high oil temp because just a day prior to this flight the same engine had been tested after repairs carried out due to high oil temp (the captain mentioned this in his coms with maintenance). Apparently the engine did ok on that test so the crew must have decided to give it a try. Consequently they were not surprised to see the oil temp high warning on that same engine. It was an emergency but one with forewarning.

there is a period of time in wich both of pilots have their eyes on ipad/QRH, so my question is, who was flying the plane ? (at least one pilot has to focus just on the instruments/monitoring autopilot)....so yes good but no textbook, also the communication with the tower not in english is a real big breach of regulaments, also they are discussing a potential critical situation between them in their own lenguage, and also this is a BIG problem as for seafty/security related checklist/discussion both pilot should communicate in english (no matter nationalities)

Yesterday night I was on a flight that was re-routed from GVA to BSL due to an issue with a plane that run off the runway in GVA. 3h of extra train ride. Some fellow passengers were freaking out - I was thinking of this video, keep calm and buy some chocolate 😉
